Large one room with bar to left. Four weakish real ales - rest keg. Nothing special.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Finery
Refurbished Greene King outlet, formerly the Old Explorer, with a rather more contemporary look than previously. Some very substantial wooden benches in the main bar, with more usual furniture in a slightly-raised seating area at the far end. Also has another fair-sized bar (The Menagerie) downstairs with an alcove area beyond, plus a few small tables out on the pavement. Improved menu, more upmarket than previously, but some offers available. Now has seven handpumps, six of which were in operation on this visit, with real ales including a good number of guests (e.g. Wainwright, Landlord, Hogs Back TEA, Dizzy Blonde and Mauldon's Bronze Adder) in addition to the inevitable IPA. Improved.

David Lands left this review about The Finery
Revamped in November 2014, with a change of name, the Finery has removed most traces of Greene King, except on the website. The handpumps have now been removed from the downstairs bar (now named the Menagerie), The bank of pumps upstairs had, (in addition to Abbot) Dark Star Hophead, Sambrooks Junction, Twickenham Winter Cheer and Timothy Taylor's Landlord, but at a price- £4.75 for Junction! Expensive, even for the area. More varied bottled and keg beers than the usual GK range.
