The basics are covered in the previous review - although the former pub name is retained in part, this is a wine bar (the term even appears within the WiFi password) which also serves food. No draught ale or even keg founts - bottled beer is the way here, with Sharp's Doom Bar and two Rebellion beers, Red and Blonde also available: it was £6.00 for a bottle of the Red. "How do you sleep at night?" I half-jokingly asked the young barman. He nervously laughed and took my money, then issued a semi-audible "sorry". Not his fault, but someone's doing alright out of the mark-up.

The White Lion was closed and completely refurbished and is now a wine bar that also specialises in a large range of tapas. Sells no draught beer anymore though.
