Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Lyceum Tavern

Reasonable Sam Smiths pub, with the main bar at street level and a quieter lounge bar upstairs. Fairly traditional (if plain) furniture and decor, with lots of wood panelling and various booths and small rooms providing a range of seating areas (mostly full up, mind you), but none of it as old as it looks. Four handpumps downstairs and two more above - all a bit unnecessary since they only dispense OBB (£6.50, compared with £2.90 on my last visit 12 years ago), but at least its the cask version.

Another lovely building on the Strand, and the interior is unusual and very attractive, with plenty of wood panelling and a series of private booths on the left hand side - not as secluded as those in the Cittie of Yorke, but more comfortable. There are a few old adverts for Taddy and other Sam Smiths beers. On the bar are four hand pumps, but my half of Old Brewery Bitter was a little tired. The couple running the place were friendly and told me they have been here for just two months. They were kind enough to show an interest in my Discovering London's Inns and Taverns pub crawl and wished me a pleasant afternoon as I left.

Classic Sam's with a downstairs bar and an upstairs diner. Downstairs bar is in two sections, the first part is fairly straightforward with varnish panelling and some booths, also wood panelled inside and out. The section through the wood and glass divider is a bit more personable with the bar also situated here. This is an outlet which stocks cask OBB. I was served up a Double Four lager by a friendly foreign barmaid. There’s an upstairs room too, kitted-out like a gentleman's club. An enjoyable stop.
