The White Hart is a bare brick built pub that has no proper frontage to it.
Once inside there was an oblong shaped room that had a beamed ceiling with bare brick walls, the floor was stone and there was different types of seating.
There were four real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Castle Rock Harvest Pale which was a very nice drink, the other beers were Doom Bar,Adnams bitter and a beer from Star brewery which i did'nt get the name of,there were no signs of any Ufford ales here which Wittenden found in 2010.
The pub was far too quiet for my liking with no music or TVs,but that aside it was a decent enough pub to end our crawl in.

Travelling south down the A1 we were in need of sustenance, so we turned down one of those lanes that open unexpectedly, in search of a good pub. The White Hart had figured on the radar in that it is the home of Ufford Ales, so I was keen to visit .
A renovated stone pub, built of the characteristic Barnack limestone that is a feature of this area , with a cosy public bar decorated with farming and railway memoriabilia. A room leading off this was laid up for dining. Indeed, this is what one could describe as a gastropub: as we hadn’t booked (passing trade, don’t you know), it would have been a three quarter hour wait before our order would have been taken. Naturally, we drank up and moved on. I make it a rule never to book in a pub, unless major upset would occur .
I can’t comment on the food, though what I saw looked good. The beer: as the home of Ufford ale, there were 3 on hand pump, together with Adnams bitter. I had a pint of Golden Drop, which unsurprisingly was a golden ale at 4.3%. It was pleasant enough, but not memorable, bitter but with no depth.
We liked this pub insofar as we experienced it, but it isn’t quite what we were looking for.
