Large place. The bar is to the right hand side, facing you as you enter. Second bar in the rear room. Four weakish real ales and the rest keg. No real fire either.

Sizeable hotel bar with two rooms served by a central island servery. Red walls, wood flooring and Art Nouveau lampshades, so a traditional feel and rather comfortable. Four pumps with three ales and a cider; Bass (very good) Hancocks HB, Tom Woods Xmas Ale and Westons Old Rosie. A pleasant stop-off and understandably GBG listed.

The Carre Armsis a very large pub and hotel and it is the closest pub to the train station.
The entrance to the pub part is on the right this takes you into a very smart and plush room, there is an island bar that serves a room either side of it both of these rooms were very nice with polished wood floors and normal tables and chairs.
There was also a very large covered seating area at the rear of the pub that looked veery nice, all the areas to the left are the hotel and dining areas.
There were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Timothy Taylor Landlord and this was a very nice drink the other beer was London Pride.
The drinks were a bit more expensive here but i thought it was worth it.
