Pub has just re opened after a period of closure. Under new management. Still appears to serve food and is open until late at weekends.
Have not visited it since it re opened as to me it just does not look appealing.

Not much to look at but great beer and wonderful traditional food at very reasonable prices. Very helpful, knowledgeable Landlord. Good music. Wonderful value for money.

Excellent food, particularly the locally sourced beef and pork, served sizzling on a hot lava rock. The cheaper end of the menu items, such as the battered haddock and scampi, are less inspiring, being pre-prepared (from frozen pre-packs) items, but still excellent value for money. My only real criticism is that the plates for the non-sizzler items are too small. Well worth a visit; the prices for both food and drink are very reasonable.
