Surprisingly bijou boozer (there’s a separate larger room for dining, which was empty). Interior could do without the grey paint which has been smeared over the wood panelling but otherwise it feels fairly tidy and atmospheric, if now lacking a bit of inner cosiness. Decent pint of Bass (NBSS 3) alongside Landlord and two guest casks. Barmaid had special powers, seemingly being the only person in the entire building who knew the wifi password. One to time your visit carefully, as I bagged the last table on a mid-afternoon Saturday.

We decided to visit this pub for a lunch time stop. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. This was accompanied by a welcome pint of tasty Taylors Landlord.
It is very rare to find such a comfortable and atmospheric place to enjoy food and drink. The staff were very pleasant and welcoming to all.

A cloudburst coincided with our proximity to this eccentrically spelt pub, which made the decision of which Louth pub to patronise an easy one. We're glad that we chose this one, as it's a lovely old pub with wood panelling, settles and benches, and dark beams. A small front room extends either side of the entrance, and there's a dining room to the rear. The small bar in the corner has four hand pumps, serving Timothy Taylor Landlord and Golden Best, Greene King Old Speckled Hen and Wadworth 6x at the time of our visit.
