A back street local on the western edge of town, as the name suggests, a multiroom pub on a corner with a reputation for real ales. It has changed hands and at the time of my visit there were bits of refurbishment still going on, with the left hand room (on Newland St) occupied by builders and such and only the right hand side (on Moor St) in use. There were four beers on the bar, two national brands and two from not so far (see photo). I had a half of Batemans XXXB, my first for a while, and it went down a treat (NBSS 4). I look forward to coming back some time when the place is less chaotic. (I hope they'll have enough money left to replace the amplifier or loud speakers, as one or other - possibly both - were well past their best-before date.)

With time to squeeze in just one more Lincoln pub before retiring my hotel (I won't be able to do this again for the next 6 months), I ventured to the pub furthest west on my hitlist in Lincoln.
This is another friendly, corner community pub in the back streets. Despite it being almost 11pm, the two rooms were busy and it was good to see a predominantly younger crowd in what is a fairly traditional boozer.
The two regular ales are Wells Bombardier & Timothy Taylor Landlord. Guests were Hopback Summer Lightning & Titanic Plum Porter. My Plum Porter rounded off the evening nicely. Table service from the female bar staff was with a smile.
US Open golf was showing on the TVs. There was an outdoor yard at the rear, which also appeared to be busy.

Main room to the right as you enter. Three or four hand pumps with a couple of TVs showing cricket. Beer garden to the rear and also a room to the left which I didn't see when coming in. Not a bad place.
