The Hop Pole was a very basic pub that was situated on a side street just off high street.
Once inside the pub had two rooms with a basic bar and a smarter lounge,i have only drunk in the front bar room.
The pub was a John Smiths tied house with no real ales on,on the two occasions i have been in it.
The pub is still standing but has now been converted in to private use.
Pub first visited 26/3/1983
