Alan Winfield left this review about The Carholme
The Carholme was a back street corner pub that was in the west end of Lincoln, where we were staying while doing a weekend crawl of Lincoln with a couple of mates.
The pub was a John Smiths tied house with two rooms,we went in the pub two times and had a drink in the lounge which had comfy bench seating and small stools, the John Smiths bitter was keg.
The pub served hot food which was unusual back in 1983,so we went in here at evening opening time and had a nice Shepherds Pie which set us up for a good nights drinking.
It is a shame that this pub has closed down.
