Attractive-looking stone building in a pretty village. The interior has been modernised somewhat and does not live up to expectations set by the exterior. I appeared to be the first customer in on my Saturday lunchtime visit. A couple of walkers did soon appear looking for food. The one guy asked for a bitter. The choice was between Abbot & Old Speckled Hen, with the barmaid struggling for ages to pour a pint of Abbot.
Food appears to be the mainstay here, with pizzas promoted. I stuck with a bag of crisps. There are a couple of rooms - the bar itself and a restaurant. There is also a garden alongside the car park to the rear.

The Tollemache Arms is a large stone built pub in a pleasant village.This pub has been shut for quite a while but has recently reopened it smelt new inside the decor seems a bit spartan with bare pine flooring and tabels dotted around the room but at least its open as a pub again,there were 2 pumps on the bar the Grainstore Ten Fifty was a decent drink the other handpump had Phipps Red Star i thought this Northamptonshire Brewery shut down years ago there was no indication on the pump clip who brews this beer i would be interested to find out who brews this beer!.
