The Golden Lion is a small pub and the only one left on west street since the Crown closed down.
This pub has got two small rooms and both have a seperate entrance from the outside but they are connected by a corridor at the back of the pub.
We had a drink in the bar which was very small with about three small tables and it was almost full with about another seven drinkers in it,there was another small room which was the lounge.
This pub has still got outside toilets so if its raining you will get wet on your way to them.
This pub is a Samuel Smiths tied house and there was one real ale on the bar this was Old Brewery bitter and this was a very nice drink and it was only £1.64 for a pint.
This is a proper old fashioned pub that you dont see that often these days,i liked the look of it from the outside and also liked it inside, this pub is well worth a visit.
