A huge posh place, in the nouveau riche sense and indeed the bar was lit like a tart’s boudoir. We sat in the little dip area with red and rose wallpaper which gave us a bit of respite from the furnace conditions outside. Two Grainstore beers on and to my surprise the Steelback IPA was in really good nick. Wouldn’t particularly rate the place as a drinking experience though.

The Noel Arms is situated quite close to Rutland water,the pub is set well back from the mian road,the entrance is off the car park.
Once inside there was one long oblong shaped room,the bar was facing,the left side of the room was laid out for diners,this area was carpeted,the right side was for drinkers,there was also a small area down a few steps to the far right,the seating in the main area was bench seating and chairs.
There were two pumps on the bar,but only one in use,that had Grainstore Rutland bitter on,this was a really nice well kept beer.
This is a very upmarket pub that feels and looks the part,but as drinkers we were made just has welcome.
