Hi, In response to Alan Winfield.
The Horse & Panniers in North Luffenham is now well and truly open. Myself (Michelle) and my Business Partner Tricia, re-opened the pub in January 2011. The pub was closed for approximately 18 months and with enthusiasm and shear determination we are pleased that trade has been very good and continues to improve. We have regular theme nights and a weekly Wednesday Quiz Night which are both regularly attended by both local regulars and new customers alike. We have a very good selection of local real ales which we like to update regularly, and the more popular ones we repeat. We also offer a home-cooked menu which is served Thursday through to Sunday. We open at lunchtime on a Sunday except the summer months when we open Fri, Sat, Sun and Bank Holidays. I do hope you can get to visit us in the future and hope when you do it will be an enjoyable experience. Regards Michelle

I visited this pub on the 9 April 2011 and the pub looked like it was open again but it was closed as it was about 4.30 in the afternoon.
I think if we had visited it earlier or in the evening it would have been open.

Just re-opened, new landlord, great improvement. Food excellent and staff very friendly. Very good boozer!
