Nice old building that's been utterly molested and neglected. A woozy mish-mash of areas inside though it looks like a slow refurb is going on from the bar outwards (it needs it!). Tried the quizzer – it was broken. Pool and darts available. Perhaps surprisingly three were ales on; Sharps Doom Bar, one from Langham and Grainstore Rutland Gold (fair). 4.5

The Exeter Arms is just off the high street to the west of the centre of Uppingham.
This is a decent looking single storey pub that used to be an Everards tied house and it still has the Everards signs outside.
Be very carfull when entering this pub as the door is'nt very high i cracked my head on it,the room to the right as you enter is carpeted and there were no handpumps on the bar here we walked down a corridor behind the bar to get in the room to the left this room had a stone floor and seemed a bit unkempt.
There were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Langton Inclined Plane this was a very nice drink the other beer was Everards Tiger bitter.
This was more of a locals pub but we were happy enough having a drink in here.
