A Marstons jumbo food outlet with no sign of any food being served on my early afternoon visit. Corporate decor over the knocked-through rooms though to a decent standard, blue and white being the main hues at the front with what looks like a 1960’s Eastern European dining area at the rear. Three ales on but none shifting and inevitably my Pedigree was flabby (NBSS 2). The unusual pub name is that of a famous undefeated 18th-century thoroughbred racehorse. 4.5

A nice friendly pub. Good reasonably priced food and a super pint of Guinness or Pedigree. Occasionally has guest beers on offer which are always worth a try, I beleive they are part of the Marstons Group so it should be decent. But if you are considering it I'd certainly recommend it (and no I don't work there!) It's a shame they do not offer accommodation as I'm sure that'd be a winner due to it's location.
