Substantial place over two rooms via a porch - beware that the ales are clipped in the lounge only. Fairly modern fit-out in corporate blue but done quite well and looked after. Football on silent. Said two ales were a good pair in St Austell Proper Job and Bass (NBSS 3.5), served-up by a friendly old skool landlady. Worth a nose if you’re in the town and it is GBG listed.

Two-roomed corner pub cater-corner to a Costa Coffee. The former corner entrance is now boarded up and entrance is via Bank Street rather than on its Church Road address. There is a choice of a bare-boarded 'Bar' with centre column (door to your right) or carpeted 'Lounge' (left). I walked in the 'Bar' room to find a small bar area to the left serving an oblong room broken up by a centre stack and large TV showing sport to the far wall. With no handpumps to be seen, I exited to enter the Lounge, which has a slightly larger, L-shaped bar to its far right, with three handpumps dispensing Bass, St Austell Proper Job and Timothy Taylor Landlord. A pint of the former was £4.15 and in great nick (NBSS 4). A large TV screen to far wall showed a T20 match on mute to no-one in particular and there were a fair few in at 4pm on a Thursday afternoon. I'd certainly drop into this pub if in the area, albeit only after I'd exhausted all possibilities at the nearby Real Ale Classroom.

The Unicorn Inn is a smallish corner pub that is at the end of one of Lutterworths main shopping streets.
Once inside the pub had two seperate rooms, the bar was to the left, this was a fairly basic room but in a nice way,the floor was carpeted and there was leather bench seating with normal tables and chairs, there was a real fire on the go making the room nice and warm,a TV was showing the football scores, the lounge was to the right, this room was in darkness.
There were four real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Shardlow Reverend James which was a very nice well kept beer, the other beers were Bass,Adnams bitter and GK IPA.
We quite liked this pub and it is listed in the 2013 GBG.
