Alan Winfield left this review about The Talbot
This pub is now called the Grey Goose.
This pub has been completly altered inside and it now has one large L shaped room, the area to the front is more of a drinkers area and the rear of the pub is set aside for diners, the pub has got a very modern look to it with a tiled floor and modern looking seating that was'nt very comfortable.
This is probably more of a gastro pub now but normal drinkers like myself do have quite a large area to drink in.
There were two real ales on the bar and i had a drink of Taylor Landlord this was a decent drink and very cheap at £2.60 a pint the other beer was Sharpes Doom Bar.
This is not a pub i would stay in for more than one drink.
