The Balloon in now called the Sir Frank Whittle.
This is a typical 60s built estate pub that is situated at the end of a shopping parade.
Once inside the pub had two seperate rooms,we had a drink in the bar which was to the left, this was a fairly large square shaped room with a pool table in the middle of the room, there was bench seating around the edge of the room with small tables and chairs, the lounge was to the right this room looked like it was set up for a wedding reception.
The pub is a Marstons tied house and there were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Marstons bitter which was a nice drink, the other beer was Pedigree.
There was a decent amount of locals in of different age groups,we were happy enough having a drink in this pub.
