Remains la-di-da. The place was a bit brighter this time (better weather helps!) and my beer was also much improved, a good half of <unrecorded beer> (NBSS 3.5). I think there may have been fewer on than last time?
November 2022
Looks very la-de-dah from the outside and the inside follows-through. A surprisingly substantial interior, a large open plan main room leading to a garden out back. Varnished wood floor, blue and green walls, some nice (if modern) woodwork, copper topped tables with a couple of leatherette banquettes and a lot of tables set for dining. Downside was an intense gloominess, so much so I decamped to the sizeable rear garden. Six cask pumps all dispensing with a variety of breweries if rather samey style-wise, served-up by a polite and friendly barmaid. My Parkway Giggle was pump tired and a bit flabby but ostensibly fine (NBSS 2.5) - too many on. GBG’22 listed. Rated 6.5

Strongers . left this review about White Hart
The White Hart is a wooden floored single room pub with open plan seating that is broken up by a couple of supporting pillars. The counter in the right rear supports premium keg alongside Neck Oil and six hand pumps that were drawing a decent Leatherbritches Brewery’s White Castle, Charnwood Brewery’s Vixen, TT Landlord, Three Acre Brewery’s Sky Lark Stout, Skiny Brewery’s Affinity and a Blonde from a brewery that needs to give its marketing team a slap because I couldn’t read the name even with my eyes two inches from the clip. Hot food is available, but not on Mondays or Tuesdays when the scran only stretches to rolls. I was going to have the last cheese roll, but decided that £3.80 was too much. This is a decent pub that’s worth a look for ale fans.

Old Boots left this review about White Hart
Painted a striking shade of blue and white on the outside, this GBG2025 listed pub is a dark candle lit single room. Apart from some bench seating in the corners it’s furnished with a mix of farmhouse kitchen tables and old fashioned copper topped round ones. The counter is to the rear right with a couple of T-Bars and solos, all standard brands, the six pulls had a mix of local beers from Shiny, Charnwood and Leatherbritches plus Yorkshire interlopers from Brass Castle and Taylors and southerners Three Acres. Brewery mirrors and ads form the decor and they have a selection of CAMRA awards on display. There’s a large beer garden out the back. Friendly staff but low on atmosphere.
