Marstons outlet on the Grand Union canal with a picturesque location. Long and narrow inside over a couple of levels (presumably separate buildings back in the day) with a bit of modernisation but retains a cosy feel; pub carpet, stained glass dividers and varnished wood. Two cask, Hobgoblin Gold and a tidy (NBSS 3.5) Pedigree, served-up by a friendly middle-aged lady. Pool table for the locals and Halloween garb already infesting the place. I thought this was a pleasant place for a pint, even if said pint wasn’t the most exciting choice. Feels like it could have a crack at being a quality ale venue if they stuck on a couple of the lesser-spotted Marstons portfolio.

The Boat Inn is a nice looking pub that is in a nice location by a canal.
This is a long standing Marstons tied house.
Once inside there is an L shaped room,there is a pool table to the front right,the room is carpeted with the bar being on the left side.
The seating is comfy bench type and chairs and normal tables and chairs,the rear right side is up one step,the floor here is tiled,there is a darts board to the rear right.
There were four real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Pedigree,which went down well,the other real ales were Brakspear Bitter,Hobgoblin Gold and a beer called Saddle Tank.
I thought this was a very pleasant and comfortable pub to have a drink in.

Standard Marston's pub nicely situated on the canal side. Five or six hand pumps, one turned away, but nothing of any great strength. I expect this place to be busy on a summer's day, but I won't be returning.
