Very new looking place and pretty modern inside too with a two-tone green paint job and some nice extra touches like marble sills and a bit of Dr Karl's surgery in the form of a glass brick wall. No obvious signs of food despite the bistro on the sign, everyone was drinking. Surprised to see three cask on, all Marstons. My order of Wainwright Gold was met with a question of glassware and then the barman toddled off downstairs to serve direct from the barrel. My output was a smidge warm but good nick (NBSS 3). Unusual proposition. Said he gets Bass sometimes...
