Alan Winfield left this review about The Royal
The Royal is a small stand alone pub that is just off the village centre.
Once inside this is a two roomed pub and both of these are fairly small,we went in the lounge to the left as this was quite busy the other room was fairly quiet, the lounge was fairly basic and had bench seating and was carpeted.
There were two handpumps in the lounge and both of these were unclipped,i think the landlady overheard me moaning to my brother about there not being any real ales on when she said this pump has got Bass on which i had a drink of and this was a very nice drink, the pumps in the bar were also unclipped but they were serving beer out of them.
This was very much a locals pub and it was very busy on our dinner time visit.
