Vintage Inn on the A47. Thatched roof and it looks attractive from the outside though once you get your eye in you can see that it is a few years past its prime and needing a bit of TLC. Very quiet for a Thursday lunchtime though no sign of food which was surprising, despite a large and quite nice dining area. Building is clearly of age though internally it's mainly 'vintage modern' in terms of feel and decor, inoffensive and a bit bland with some COVID era grey/green paint in the main bar. Three ales over four pumps, national brews in Pride, Pedigree plus a middling - and eye-wateringly expensive – TT Landlord (NBSS 2.5). Down-at-the-mouth atmosphere on a weekday afternoon.

This has become a populat place recently. It's part of a chain [Vintage Inns] and gets a lot of trade from its adjoining motel, who are lucky to have it on the doorstep! Batemans XXXB is always on plus a guest beer, inevitably in good condition. Mainly a dining pub now, but you're not made unwelcome if not eating. Worth a visit if you're passing by on the A47
