Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Cross Hands
Large old coaching inn on a busy crossroads east of the village, and still very much a hotel as well as a pub / restaurant. The Beaufort Bar sits in the apex, with the dining room (and another counter) beyond. All traditional in a slightly corporate way, except the plainly decorated small pool room to the right of the bar. Patio beer garden at the front. As a Greene King house, I found a duplicated selection of Old Golden Hen (£5.15), Abbot and (oddly, being a long way from Scotland) Deuchars on the two banks of three handpumps.

Did not go into this pub as all they had was Greene King although the pub did look nice inside, But beware of crossing the road it is on a very dangerous crossroads. The picture of the view is from the top of Hill Lane (opposite the Cross Hands pub)which is on the 20 minute walk to the Dog Inn where you can get a good selection of beers
