Seen this imposing and attractive place a dozen or so times from the station but have never been in, so decided to rectify that with a post-gig pint. Well I shouldn’t have been too surprised at the let-down; it was half packed-up at 10.30pm. Pretty charmless U-shaped interior with thudding music and some blue neon lighting. Five pumps clipped with two on, my Old Mill Willow was awful (NBSS 1). Polite staff, at least. But don’t waste your time. Why oh why didn’t I just get a half…(too much Tequila at the Y, that's the reason).

Handy for Leicester train station. The pub has regular music nights & a dartboard. Bombardier,deuchars, old peculier, pedigree & smiths beers.
