A small two roomed traditional Everards pub with the beers mentioned in jaqptio's review below, I tried both the Patriot beers and both were good. It's nice to see a tradiditional pub doing well in an area where modern bars are on the rise.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Black Horse
This corner pub has been given quite a bold modern look, now painted grey, but the twin-room interior retains a very traditional look with plenty of wood panelling, etc. The elongated front bar and smaller rear lounge are separated by a central servery with a row of handpumps on each counter. As an Everards house, it was no surprise to find Tiger, Sunchaser and Old Original on tap, but the small-batch Patriot west coast IPA and Dynamo session IPA were available too. Only had time for a brief stop, but a good place all round I thought.

Interesting old locals pub with two separate bars, wooden panelling and 6 pulls in each bar serving Everards plus guests. The rear bar has bench seating, quarry tiles and some Giles annuals round the wall as décor it also houses some chatty locals. The rear gents has buckets as urinals properly wall mounted rather than just on the floor, but the atmosphere in there will clear your tubes.
