This lovely thatched pub was previously known as the Chandos Arms before being taken over by a local restaurant owning family with connections to the Indian regiment who renamed it the Gurkha Tavern to provide a pub and Indian restaurant combined.
Unfortunately it appears that they couldn’t make a go of it in the current climate and it closed in March last year.
Still closed and various planning permissions submitted to turn it into residential.
