Attractive exterior and a large Marstons pub within with a semi-hexagonal layout. Some traditional furnishing but décor errs on the side of bland. Forget the beer line up by I had a Pedigree described as “decent here” on Untappd so let’s call it an NBSS 3.5. Pub very quiet. Better than expected though.

As with most Marston's pub, this one disappoints. Located just outside of the town centre, it is however popular with locals.
The interior is mainly carpeted apart from some laminate flooring in the entranceway. There is a TV off to the right-hand side and a big screen to the left. Both were showing darts. Music was also playing. A quiz was advertised for the last Wednesday of the month. There are some old black and white pictures of the area on the walls. All in all, it felt quite a nice place to relax.
At the bar, Pedigree is the regular beer. As with the previous 2 pubs, Directors was also on. The third handpull was unclipped. If they can't sell a third beer when it is packed on New Year's Eve, I doubt they ever bother to put one on. Ciders were Thatcher's Gold & Haze. This pub could be so much better if not under Marston's ownership.
