Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Red Lion Inn
The Red Lion is Burbage's entry in the Good Beer Guide. There is a single room that slopes upwards from street level to a cosy, raised area to the rear with a large-screen TV.
The room has bare boards and uses the same olive green colour scheme as the Sycamores just down the road. There are old black and white pictures of Burbage on the walls, with an FC Burbage pennant on one wall. There is also a TV in the front right corner. This was off, with some kind of Rihanna album playing instead.
The wooden bar has 5 handpulls, with 3 regular real ales on - Bass, Timothy Taylor Landlord & Theakston XB. A Sharp's Doom Bar clip was turned round. The fifth handpull was unclipped, but should usually have Eagle Bombardier on. Beavertown Neck Oil is available on keg. The cider is Strongbow.
A function room and marquee is advertised for hire, whilst there is a car park to the right-hand side with a sign indicating that the pub is also home to Burbage RFC.
The local CAMRA branch obviously like this place, but I can't say it was my favourite pub in Burbage.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Red Lion Inn
Traditional village pub, partly opened-out inside to leave a L-shaped bar with a further small, slightly raised seating / dining area at the back. Lightly refurbished at some stage, although the counter looks more modern than the furniture. A covered patio can also be found down the side alleyway. Five real ales on handpump: Landlord, Theakston XB, Bombardier, Doom Bar and Bass (£4.30).
