The Railway is the closest pub to Hinckley's railway station. It is much larger inside than it appears from outside. There are a number of rooms off the entrance corridor. To the right of the entrance is a front room with laminate flooring and the main bar just behind with a mixture of laminate and carpet, also featuring a fruit machine and a very sparsely decorated Christmas tree.

3 smaller rooms, all adjacent to one another can all be found up a couple of steps from the bar. The one to the left was smallest of the 3. The middle one acts as a games room with a pool table and a couple of dartboards. The one to the far right has a deer's head above a fireplace and some shelving stocking books.

Off to the left-hand side of the entrance, the corridor leads to a dining area. Most tables were taken. So, food is clearly popular.

No longer a Steamin' Billy pub, there were still 4 real ales. Sharp's Doom Bar is the regular beer. Guests were Bass, Wye Valley Butty Bach & Church End Stout Coffin. Keg options included Shipyard American Pale & Beavertown Neck Oil. Meanwhile, mulled wine was being advertised. Music was playing throughout our visit. Dogs and children are allowed.

This pub was better than I had anticipated and is clearly popular amongst the locals.

Now a Steamin' Billy Brewing house, this is the first pub you see when leaving the station and it looks good too in its latest guise. Retaining two separate bars, one with two further small rooms beyond plus a larger seating / dining area at the back, it retains some character whilst having been refurbished in a semi-traditional style. The in-house Tipsy Fisherman, Billy (£3.60) and 1485 were available from the various handpumps divided between the two counters, together with Otter Bitter as a guest.

This is a Steamin`Billy pub close to the railway station and there was a packed house here at around 1-30 yesterday with plenty of diners,drinkers and surprisingly a 5 piece jazz band giving it plenty, although not sure if this is a regular feature or it was someone's party. As it was so crowded could not say what the number of cask beers was but i did see 3 from Steamin` Billy and one the Blue Monkey Brewery.
