Sideways U shaped interior with a fairly spartan blue and white public bar at the front and a sightly nicer carpeted and banquette lounge at the rear, though the grey COVID paint was in evidence. TV horse racing competing with fairly dire pumped music. Pool off the side. Cobs on, a mild surprise to see. Just the one ale, a long-unpoured Charnwood Vixen which at least had some sort of cellaring to it (NBSS 2). Locals were a bit salty but friendly enough.
Beware the bus - I almost missed it! Bus services stop at Silver Street on the route to Leicester and Loughborough but, confusingly, at Recreation Centre on the route to Coalville.

This is a medium sized pub that was a Marstons house when i first went in it and it is still a Marstons house now.
I dont know what it is like inside as i just photographed it.
