Spoons that looks like a fairly ordinary pub from the outside and it's a squeeze to get in what with a set of narrow stairs by the entrance door to get to the bogs (‘wholly inadequate for a place this size’ still stands). Jumbo modern extension at 45 degrees left with exposed brick, skylight and some odd silver, purple and turquoise arched booths. Patio garden. Three guest ales, 2x Milestone and Woodfordes. The wrong ale got delivered to my table which was also a bit long pour as well (NBSS 2). I did at least get the rare red plate with my meal so that was a novelty.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Shoulder Of Mutton (JD Wetherspoon)
A fine-looking old inn building from the front with a substantial modern extension at the back. A few small seating / dining areas can be found in the former, but the main bar area further back is much more open. Also has a surprisingly large patio beer garden to the rear. The elongated counter features two banks of six handpumps, and with the autumnal real-ale festival underway, I found a duplicated selection of Rudgate's Epic Endeavour (£1.99), Lancaster Kaleidoscope and Telemark Rav, together with the regular Greene King IPA, Doom Bar and Abbot.

Decent enough Spoon's well described below We only called in for breakfast but I did notice a couple of guests alongside the usual suspects - 1 from the Purple moose brewery and another called Wimbledon but I didn't see who it was by! The breakfast was good and I would happily call again.
