Is this the worst pub in Hindley? Probably. All the standard and premium keg on the L-shaped bar counter was off except the Fosters, Stella and John Smiths because lines were being cleaned. I enquired why they would clean all the lines at the same time leaving hardly any beer available. “There’s nothing on tele tonight, so nobody is out”. The barman/governor seemed to be very proud that he was cleaning the lines and made a point of telling anyone who ventured near. Saying that, there were only three people in the pub, including myself.
The pub itself is actually OK with seating in the bar area and at the rear where there’s a pool table. Some tiling and mosaics will be of interest to some. That’s 80s was playing on the televisions. I think if I’d walked in any other night when the beer was all on I’d probably have thought more highly of the pub, but alas that wasn’t the case.

ROB Camra left this review about The Bears Paw

Despite having changed its name to the Bears Paw, it's still a Last Orders in everything but the name along with all that entails. Cheap beer, no real ale and a dodgy clientele, all were ticked as present on Friday evening. There's a pool table and loads of TV's in the usual one large room. Won't be calling in here again.
