Castle On T’Hill has a central U-shaped bar counter that faces the entrance to the front, a pool table and dartboard to the right and a stage area with limited seating on a dance floor area to the left. The ten or so locals in attendance were either playing pool or sat on the stools around the bar. Sky and BT Sports are advertised. Being late afternoon there was nothing worthwhile on so on the projector on the back of the stage was rolled up and only one of the television was on. This was being used to play a music channel. I didn’t spot any real ale, just standard and premium keg. The barmaid was friendly and very chatty with the locals which created a good atmosphere. That said, I’m not sure I’d go out of my way to visit here again.
