Strongers . left this review about Lord Nelson Hotel
Standard and premium keg was available from the bar counter that runs across the rear wall. There are more seating areas to the right and to the left is a pool table. Televisions throughout were airing Premier League Darts via Sky Sports during a recent Thursday evening visit. The service was very polite, but the lack of ale means I’ll probably not return.

This is a massive pub now after several extensions. There are lots of strange sloping windows inside. There's a pool table in an enclosed area to the left, the rest is open plan with different areas, all very modern and all with TVs. Friendly locals, especially the chap at the bar who filled me in on all the changes that have occurred to the pub through the years. Sadly there's no real ale, so I had a half of fizz served by a very efficient barman. I liked it here, shame about the beer choice.

A large pub with separate drinking areas inside and a beer garden to the rear with bowling green. No real ale. Quite a decent pub to have a drink in.
