Brainy Pool left this review about The Globe
surely a wonderful multi-roomed interior once, now all knocked through but cosy enough and some separation, all areas have intrusive TVs though. A decent Landlord on handpull plus that terrible extra chilled Theakstons Summit ale. Unchanged from the previous review but it has had a recent lick of paint, plenty of blue walls. It’s a decent enough sport oriented local but nothing to write home about.

This is an original pub with the entrance to the side of the main road. Inside it's all been knocked into a single room with a pool table to the right and the bar counter on the left. It's carpeted throughout and the TVs were turned off. there were numerous sports shirts on display around the walls.
I noticed a Cask Marque sign when entering but was disappointed to find the two hand pumps just selling Marston's Wainwright and Doom Bore. I noticed a keg Theakston's Mild (£2.79) which was good being not too gassy or cold. This is very much a locals pub and I doubt that I would return but it certainly wasn't a complete disaster.
