A fair walk from the other Aspull pubs and in a bit of a no man’s land, this is a decent cosy pub. Lots of locals on the bar side watching rugby and lots more eating and drinking around the pub. In fact it was completely packed on a Sunday evening. Plenty of handpulls with a few in operation, I looked no further than the Wigan California. I did note a Tetley Cask clip turned around, this is supposed to be a regular beer. I must say I found the pubs in this village particularly friendly for an outsider.
