Called in here last night. Still a multi roomed pub but the main bar has been opened out and a lot of character has been lost - chain pub decor doesn’t help. Real ale now permanently removed and it felt somewhat rough. A significant fall from grace for what used to be a cosy local.

A good old stone built pub. One of 3 very close to each other. Real ale available.

Food served from a real kitchen, no microwave warm ups. staff very friendly, real ale is served and the prices of all drinks and food, it can be said, are more than generous. The pub boasts a bowling green at the rear and a function room upstairs. All in all a great family friendly all rounder. Enjoy
