A Chef & Brewer establishment just outside of the main retail streets in Amersham New Town, with the usual faux-rustic stylings, all distressed light wood and bare floorboards. Plenty of areas sequestered for dining as you'd imagine, but there is a specific bar area, and the ale line-up consisted of GK IPA, London Glory, Tring Side Pocket For A Toad, Red Squirrel London Porter and something called 'Boot Ale'. The Porter was £2.10 a half and in decent shape. There was the usual piped muzak, and despite the previous sentences, very little to write home about.
