Recently refurbished Sam Smiths pub that I used to go in quite a lot a few years ago. The refurbishment has completely changed the pub and probably for the better. There are now two distinct areas each with their own entrance. The public bar to the right has a bar area and another small flag floored room. The lounge to the left also has a bar area with flag floors and two more comfortable furnished rooms with carpets. There's a mixture of bench wall seating and dining tables & chairs. There are 4 handpumps on the bar but they're all badged with Old Brewery Bitter as this is the only cask ale that Sams brew, so what's the point of having 4 it just looks stupid. I had an OBB which was pretty good if a little cold and competitively priced of course. If I liked Sams beer I'd probably visit more often, but I'll still call in again sometime soon.
