Old stone pub with a large bowling green out the back, which is why I was here on Monday. The pub is built on two levels. The bar is straight in front of you as you enter. There's a small room to the right with a pool table & quiz machine. There's a bit of seating in the bar area and to the left down a few steps is another seating area. Behind the bar is yet another small room, cards are often played in here. There are several tables out the back on a terrace alongside the bowling green and there's also a small kiddies play area. There are 3 handpumps on the bar and on Monday these were Lees Bitter & Moorhouses Premier along with a Black Sheep bitter one turned round. I had two pints of the Premier which was a pretty good pint. It's a pleasant pub.
