The Hare & Hounds, Wardle is pleased to announce that they have started to serve delicious home cooked proper pub grub.
Food is served all week (except for Monday).
The kitchen is open:
Tues-Thurs 12-2 & 5-8
Fri & Sat 12-3 & 5-8

Once upon a time when the earth and I were still young I used to play darts for this pub. In fact I won my first darts trophy playing for them, just before my 18th birthday! I hadn't been in the pub for around 30 years until yesterday. Nothing much has changed really. The tap room has been opened up and now has a pool table & quiz machine in it. The lounge is a bit faded but still presentable. There was no real ale when I used to come here, but there was a handpump serving Hydes Jekylls Gold, so I had one. It wasn't very good, although the landlord had pulled 2 pints off before he served me mine. He says he just doesn't sell very much of it. I'm not surprised if it tasted like mine. He was a friendly guy though, so I didn't complain as the pint was still drinkable. It's a decent enough locals boozer.
