Brick built pub next door to Rochdale Football ground, so avoid on matchdays. As you walk in the front door the bar is in front of you as is the quiz machine and there's a seating area to the left and another separate room with seating. There's a beer patio out the back with a very large bowling green. This is why I was here last night. After my match I tried a pint of Lees Bitter which was on offer along with Black Sheep Bitter. It was clear but very poorly conditioned and almost warm. It was so poor that when I had a second pint, rather than try the Black Sheep I had a pint of Carlsberg!!!!! It's never been renowned for it's good beer, but last night was poor.
