O dear, Im intrigued by the previous comments, it does seem that this person has gone out of there way to slate several of the pubs in Rochdale !!!, as for The Britannia I have owned this place for nearly 4 years and in that time have never employed a Landlady and certainly dont have a large TV, im not quite sure if she has the correct venue. It is true to say we are a Gay bar and the hand pumps have gone as we have to move with the times and cater to demand. to say we are unfriendly is a cheap shot, we employ the best staff going as running a bar is all about personalities and a warm welcome is paramount, it also may be true to say that on occasions customers to have to wait alittle longer than normal depending on how many people need serving but there is certainly no favouratism, its first come first served, we are sorry that you have experienced this and will be keeping a close eye on things thankyou

don't like this pub, atmosphere is OK if your gay, but anyone straight walks in you have to wait at the bar to be acknowledged, cold deco, clicky, unfriendly bar staff or landlady. wont be going in again as it seems its a competition for the landlady and the karaoke entertainer to see who can sing out the most often.. nuf said
