Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Ships and Giggles
Student / music pub located opposite the main University of Central Lancashire buildings, with a dark, L-shaped interior comprehensively made over inside with an incomprehensible mix of decorative features. A solitary disused handpump stands forlornly on a counter hardly encumbered with a plethora of keg taps either. Indeed, even the Beavertown Bones Lager proved to be off as well, leaving Neck Oil (£5.50) as the best of the rest.

Al Bundy left this review about The Ship Inn
This is now ludicrously called Ships And Giggles and is awful. Its a music/live act pub that's probably best avoided if you don't like these kind of places. There were no acts on on my afternoon visit naturally but it is still awful. Very dark inside and very basic. No real ale and not really worth bothering with.
