the Docklands area of Preston feels like a missed opportunity, full of anonymous apartments, offices and retail parks. This Marstons modern build is now the only pub with the Waterfront on the other side being replaced by a care home. It’s not too bad here, staff seem friendly and real ale is available. It’s boring and corporate but it’s that style of pub - expect family dining and kids running around. A huge sprawling place though so you can hide yourself away easily enough.

It's nice to sit outside here in summer. Banks' beer. Possibly the most expensive pub in Preston.
