Judging by the reviews below, this place has had more owners than the Littlest Hobo over the last few years. Looks like a another bunch are in situ, as this is now basically an Indian restaurant with a small bar area to the right (which also has a larger football annex with three TVs, showing the big game). The overall vibe of the bar is that of basic 70s refit nothingness, including the gas-effect central stove heater. Just Doom Bar available on cask and was pretty insipid.

Ye Olde Red Lion is now under new management and offers a friendly, relaxed environment for both drinkers and diners alike. The menu changes daily and is created from fresh seasonal produce. There is a large beer garden with a children's play area and a separate dining room for a more intimate dining experience. A bar menu and lunchtime sandwiches are available daily. The new owners also own The Bell in Waltham St Lawrence - www.thebellinn.biz

Child friendly has a play area, carvery 7 days a week good food good beer, friendly staff what more could you ask for?
