After walking 14 miles from Chertsey, I was desperate for a pint. The advertising on the pub sold it to me - "Great Real Ales".
Courage, Doom Bar and my chosen Brakspear Bitter were on. Decent pint - £4 - but then again, it is her maj's local.

No longer cosy, there seems to have been a wholesale refit - the interior is all mushroom brown and faux-boho, pah. Three ales – W&E, Bombardier and Brakspear. My Windsor & Eton was a fairly insipid pint. Disappointing all round.
December 2005
A nice warm place after the unremitting cold December evening's walk; clean, cosy and fairly friendly with the nicest pint of Deuchars IPA (amongst three ales) that I've had for quite some time. Well worth putting on the crawl list, even with the walk from town – if you start doing The Long Walk from the Queen’s house the WC is easily accessible if you get thirsty as it’s just over the road on the right after a quarter of a mile. (scored 7)
