Situated immediately opposite Winkfield's attractive church, this is a decent local pub which offered a good menu of pub grub and has friendly owners. There is a bar area, where all customers were sat on our Wednesday lunchtime visit, whilst there is also a separate dining area off to the right-hand side.
It doesn't look like the real ales ever vary, with the selection being Rebellion IPA, Sharp's Doom Bar & Greene King Abbot.

Located in an idyllic village setting directly opposite the local church. Has been modernized and the single room bar with starched dining off to the left down the corridor - whilst having low ceilings and some beams - is not characterful enough to be a draw. Add that to the rudely taciturn service behind the bar and it wasn’t a great start. Three pumps, Doom Bar and Rebellion IPA, the latter of which drank nicely enough. Desmond also declared the lemonade excellent. To the rear is a nice grassed rear garden. We spent the majority of our 20 minute stay observing the wedding taking place opposite. Has a lot of potential but fell short. Drinks quality gives it a 6.
